TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION OF QUEENSLAND INC (TMAQ)
The Traffic Management Association of Queensland Inc. (TMAQ) provides an industry voice and professional code of conduct for approximately 80 % of all Traffic Control business in Queensland. Established in 2008, this body provides a platform for members to directly communicate with government, transport departments, training providers, industry providers, occupational health and safety providers and other stakeholders.
The TMAQ has a working relationship with Main Roads and the Department of Transport in Queensland and is the provider of current industry policy and procedures as a result of this close working relationship. The TMAQ will undertake to provide professional advice to the National, State and local governments within Australia to ensure a modernisation and harmonisation for mutual benefit within the industry nationwide.
The TMAQ represents its industry members as a strong Association that will listen and act on industry matters and provide collective representation to Government, Union and other industry stakeholders.
MISSION STATEMENT
The TMAQ’s mission is to provide safe work environments, standardisation and improvement within the Traffic Control Industry through training and development to ensure best industry practice. |
